We deliver the Feature Waterjet Bay directly to your site, securely packed and ready for bench or bay mounting. Deliveries in Gauteng and major centres include offloading by our own team. For outlying areas, we coordinate with your riggers or workshop staff to get the waterjet in place safely, avoiding damage to your surfaces or the machine.
A technician checks the crate for any marks or impact, unpacks the waterjet, and inspects the unit for transit movement. We verify the garnet feed, high-pressure fittings, and any accessories like the abrasive tray or filter kit. For electrical connections, always use a registered electrician. Power must match South African supply: 230 V single-phase, 50 Hz. An installation checklist is signed off before commissioning.
After installation, our team commissions your Feature Waterjet Bay, flushing the lines, checking all motion axes, and filling the abrasive system. We run a cold test cut on scrap plate, glass or stone, so your operators see the full start-to-stop process.
Operator training includes safe loading, setting cut origin, nozzle height, garnet handling, and basic troubleshooting. We review garnet mesh (80 mesh is supplied as standard), safe abrasive loading, and how to clean or replace the waterjet orifices. Our technician will show how to use the clamp tray, and how to park the gantry safely after use.
At handover, we make sure operators understand both routine and emergency stop procedures. Each operator receives a handover sheet listing safety checks and quick-reference cut setup. This meets OHS Act requirements for training and competence.
Abrasive waterjets need regular care to maintain cutting accuracy and safety. Keep the machine clean, check for leaks and stay on top of abrasive management.
Fine dust from garnet and cut material can build up quickly, so use a damp cloth or vacuum rather than compressed air. Always disconnect power before maintenance.
